Ready to get to
work? Your Jonah Web site will require a few important
ingredients:
Creativity!
A little time and effort!
Jonah goodies from this site!
Here's a quick
run-down of what to do:
Step 1.
Browse the Fan Site Toolbox to find lots of different pictures
related to the movie. We've got everything from characters and
logos to concept art and screen shots -- all to help you design
the coolest Jonah fan site on the Net!
Step 2.
Design it! Start with a pencil and paper. Decide what the name
of your site will be (maybe something like "Jonah Movie Land,"
or "Tim's Guide to All Things Jonah," or just "Becky's
Jonah Site"), and what kinds of things you'll include (pictures?
concept art? news? movie reviews? a guestbook? links to other
Veggie sites?).
Sketch out your
home page, including the title, buttons or links for any other
pages on your site, a logo, and maybe a welcome message! (A link
to JonahMovie.com would be cool, too, but it's not required.)
Step 3.
If you don't know HTML, check out our links on the Resources
page for a quick lesson. You can also use software (like Microsoft
FrontPage, Macromedia Dreamweaver or Adobe PageMill) that'll handle
the code for you -- you just have to design the page.
Step 4.
You'll need a place to host your site! Check the Resources
page again for some suggestions. Free Web hosts will require you
to put advertising on your site; if you don't want any ads, you'll
probably have to pay a monthly hosting fee.
Step 5.
Build it! Create your HTML pages, and upload them (along with
all the pictures you used) to your new Web host. Don't forget
to check it out in your Web browser -- you might need to tweak
it a little until it's just the way you want it.
Step 6.
Tell your friends about your site! Thanks to everyone who sent
their site links to us at Big Idea. We're no longer taking new
submissions.
